Ashtabula County in the Civil War 4 Dec 1861

Edgarton’s Battery,—We see by the Cleveland papers, a return of elections in this Battery, from which we see that our old friend Albert G. Ransom of Harpersfield, is assigned the post of First Junior Lieutenant. We regard him as a good choice, and will promise the Company that they will not regret having made it.

Not Gone Yet.—We had supposed the 29th Regiment would have marched from Camp Giddings to-day—
Thursday. But the order has been recalled, and they will now remain for a short time of indefinite length. They receive their arms to-day.
